31. SIGNAL by Automatic

This 2019 record, from the guitar-less trio Automatic (named after the Go-Go’s song), blends bass, synths, vocals and drums into post-punk heaven. That’s no surprise, seeing that the drummer is the daughter of Bauhaus drummer Kevin Haskins. As one would imagine, this record is full of thick bass lines, droning synthesizers and Devo-esque vocals. Check out the following to get a taste: ‘Electrocution,’ ‘I Love You, Fine,’ and ‘Strange Conversations.’
