153. POLYDANS by Roosevelt

Roosevelt is the performance name of German musician Marius Lauber. I happened to stumble upon this 2021 record and have been listening to it for the last few days. Though dance/electronica is not exactly in my wheelhouse, the heavy synth and pop elements caught my ear, mainly due to the similarities I could hear to music that is in my wheelhouse - namely that of Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode and Erasure. So, if you're a fan of 80's synth pop, have a listen to this album and see if you agree. Start out with 'Lovers' for an upbeat, Erasure-esque track and then follow up with 'Forget' which should put you in a Joy Division/New Order type of mood. A couple of other tracks to check out include 'Echoes' (especially the last 2 minutes) and 'Sign.'
