21. FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT by The Interrupters
Ska-punk. If you know what that means, then that’s all that really needs to be said about the Interrupters and this record. If you’re not so familiar with this genre, then consider checking out the Specials, the Beat (English Beat) and even some songs by the Clash (‘Wrong ‘Em Boyo’ comes to mind). Rather than refer to them as ska or punk or ska-punk, Elton John (who has featured them on his radio show) likes the term ‘up music.’ Listen to pretty much any song on this album and you’ll know exactly what he means. This is club music that will have your head bobbing in short order. The lead single was ‘She’s Kerosene,’ but I really like the first track, ‘Title Holder.’
