140. FEELS SO GOOD // FEELS SO BAD by The Shivas

This American indie psychedelic garage rock band is out with a brand new record for 2021. Though their previous effort came out in 2019, they were unable to tour in support of it because of the pandemic. So, they spent the last couple of years collecting their thoughts and putting them to great music, the result being this record. There is catchy guitar-work throughout the album and a mixture of male and female vocals that reminds me a lot of Sunflower Bean, previously covered here. The first two tracks (‘Feels So Bad’ and ‘Undone’) pack a punch. ‘If I Could Choose’ is a fun, playful song. And, ‘You Wanna Be My Man’ slows things down to shoegaze territory.
