228. CUTS AND BRUISES by Inhaler

This foursome out of Dublin are just out with this 2023 record, their sophomore effort. Their trajectory has been exponential even with just two albums under their belts. Maybe this has to do with heartthrob lead singer / rhythm guitarist Elijah Hewson's lineage (his dad is Paul Hewson, aka Bono) or maybe they just came out with their debut during the pandemic and was just what the doctor ordered - right place right time. Regardless, this is gonna be a band to keep an eye on.

As it happens, this record is top heavy with the hits, so I'd focus my listening on the first half, especially the following tracks:  'These Are The Days,' 'Just To Keep You Satisfied' and 'If You're Gonna Break My Heart' (the song that reminds me the most of Bono's vocals and that has this opening  guitar twang thing that fools you into thinking that it's going to be a country number).
