29. BONNIE ROSE by Danielle Durack
This 2017 debut record from Arizona singer-songwriter Danielle Durack is a subdued work of art. Starting out with the yearning for a fresh start in ‘San Francisco’ she moves on to more upbeat tempos with ‘Fighter’ and ‘Monster.’ ‘What I’d Do For You’ is very reminiscent of Tori Amos but my absolute favorite off the album is ‘Dying Flowers.’ Durack describes it as “a happy little song about impending doom.” I feel like the music supervisor for a TV show or movie needs to have this song playing during a couple’s break-up scene - it would work to great effect.
