19. A SIMPLE TRICK TO HAPPINESS by Lisa Loeb
Those of us of a certain age probably only think of one thing when we hear the name ‘Lisa Loeb’ - the song ‘Stay (I Missed You)’ (sorry - two things…those glasses too). That was the lead track off the Reality Bites soundtrack and essentially defined Loeb’s career from that point onwards. Turns out she’s been pretty prolific since that time, releasing multiple albums (for adults and children) leading up to this record. Her voice is in great form and this selection of songs is short and sweet - sweet in terms of their messages of inspiration. Check out ‘Doesn’t it Feel Good’ and ‘Shine’ though the album is so short (34 minutes), it wouldn’t hurt to listen straight through.
